Janet M. Banks has had many poem published in the Kansas City Star and other literary magazines/journals. She has participated in numerous readings in and around Kansas City. With her second book, On the Edge of Urban, she hopes to continue to add her voice to the lexicon of already established women poets who she admires.
Stanley E. Banks has been an Assistant Professor and Artist-In-Residence at Avila University since 1998 where he teaches creative writitng and literature courses. He is the author of five books of poetry. He has won several awards which include a NEA fellowship grant for his poetry and a Langston Hughes Prize for Poetry.
Gena Bardwell is an actor and native Kansas Citian who lives in New York. She's chair of Speech & Communication, Touro College, NY. She's written monologues for NY's Billy Holiday Theater's 2020 presentation of 50in50: Love in the Time of Corona and the 2018 presentation 50in50: Writing Ourselves Into Existence. She acted and wrote for Hattitudes: A Tribute to the Grace and Style of Our Mothers at NY's Tribeca PAC Performing Arts Center. Her play Lipstick Chronicles was a finalist at NY's Ensemble Studio Theater & Inside Outside was staged by MultiStages. She treasures working at the Coterie, Kansas City Rep, & Unicorn Theatres.
